They keep calling my cell. I'd like to share a trick I use to avoid these types of calls:
1. Get a Google Voice phone number
2. Configure your cell phone to forward calls to the Google Voice number if not answered. Do not use the phone companies voicemail
3. When a call comes in, if you don't recognize the calling number, don't answer. Some phones will allow you to immediately reject.
4. The call will get forwarded to Google Voice. If it's a real person, they will leave a message. If it isn't, and most of these types of calls are automated, no message will be left.
Ever since I started doing this, I don't get bothered. They call, but I don't care
Once again, call control fails to block calls that are in the category of scammer in their community list. Seriously, what. the. fuck?
I made it point to keep the guy on phone for as long as I could to waste his time. I eventually started giving him my CC number but included random letters and the word "apple" This confused the young man for some time. I then told him I knew it was a scam and that he should look for honest work. It turned out to be an overall pleasant 23 minute conversation with no personal information given.
Credit card scam
These Mexican/Puerto Rican Bastards call me 3-5 times everyday. The Do Not Call list is not worth a sh--, and AT&T and other phone companies do not care about their own customers and will do nothing. These clowns have been sued but continue to harass people.
