Idk...I didn't loose power...then got call on cell & home from "fpl".saying they were working on restoring my power.?..The # was fpl's ...but from a county waaaay south.of where i am..? Then I got this message from the 800 #....so idk...I never lost power ..was my account hacked...identity thieft...fpl hacked...or human error in disaster ?

This is NOT Florida Light & Power or their caller ID would say so. This is a scam.

Just received the call that I did not answer, and then received a text from FPL with an alert about Hurricane Irma. They were too close together to be a coincidence to not be real. Just a reminder to stay safe & report outages.

Yes, I got call from that number... Never answered it.... Just says service when it comes through....Got email from them not long ago...

Received call claiming to be FPL. Wanted us to download app. Sure. It's a scam. The phone they called is not associated with any account for FPL. Be careful. If you download the app and access it, you probably compromise your phone and will have worse problems then the storm.

Thanks, Rose. Missed the call, but know that we were just contacted by FPL via email to say that they are watching the storm (Irma). I don't trust that the caller was the real FPL, and I've blocked their number.
