I thought I was calling Sprint. The ID comes up as 'Sprint Store'. Guy "Joshua" gave me his operator ID as 1514 and asked for my name and phone number. Now I feel like I'm going to get scammed and spammed on my cell. All he did was push a 'protection plan' for all my devices in my home, that it's not through my carrier, and covers everything. He asked what credit card he could use. I told him NONE and hung up. Very aggressive guy! The recording was rapid-repeat recording of 'if you're military or first responder we can give you a 25% discount on your cell phone service. Plans start at $65.00/month."
Same thing happened to me. They kept pushing the $500.00 gift card if I upgraded my phone, and they claimed to be from AT&T. I had a bad feeling about the call, so I hung up.
I called this number by mistake I was trying to call sprint which number is 1888 211 4727, the message said press one you have win a rebate for 100 dollars, then the rep takes the call and told me because I was a long time customer I was getting the rebate. I only had to pay for shipping, then I realize that he never asked for my phone number nor the system did when I called, so I went along with the call and asked him to just bill the 2 dollars and some of the shipping, he insisted needed to pay with a credit card, I told him no thank you just transfer me to technical support, he kept insisting that it was a free 100 dollars rebate in the form of a prepaid card.
The web says it's Sprint customer service, but we have no Sprint phones. It was also just listed as 'Toll Free Caller'
