I told them they had wrong number, so they call 3 times as much now
Evasive calling practices
For the last 2 days, I receive these calls with messages. They ask for my father, who is my business partner. Tonight (call came in at 8:45 p.m. on 8/10/12), I called them back because they are calling the business line, & since I'm 50% owner, it makes it my business too.
I ask this guy, with a heavy accent (named James), what this call is about. He replies by telling me that since I am not the person he's looking for, he cannot discuss the matter with me. I, tel him, that since you "James" called the business line, it must have to do with a debt from the business. He stated that it was a personal matter & cannot disclose that info. I then told "James" to call his personal number, if it was a personal matter. "James" asked me for the number, but of course we all know what comes next. F.Off, I told him. "I'm not giving you anything because if you have his business info, debt info, AT&T account info, than you should also have his personal number. I finished the conversation by politely stating that the number they called (business line) needs to be removed. It's a scam, & can be confusing to the elderly. Keep an eye out, & make sure you're folks are aware of this scam. They can easily have them sign up for something they don't need. A HEADACHE!
