This person called asking for my husband in very accented English (Sounded Indian). He did not identify himself or the company. My husband hung up on him. From my caller ID I called him back, he didn't give his name or the name of the company he worked for, but stated he was contacting my husband over a debt owed from 1996. When I advised that the debt was uncollectable as it is 15 yrs old, the gentleman insisted we had to pay it. I chewed the guy out pretty badly.
I looked up the 800 number on-line and found the company name, etc.
This has to be a scam - there is no way a debt collector would be calling over a 15 yr old debt. They need to be put out of business.

This place has called my cell number numerous times asking for someone who doesn't even live in my home. I have repeatedly stated this to them, yet they keep asking for money. Even today they have called my number 7 times in one day! They need to be caught and shut down.

Called for a person not living at my residence and called on a FEDERAL HOLIDAY !! Something needs to be done about this retarded company. The person on the phone could not even speak english !! I hope they call back again as I will tell them off again !! If they don't understand what a FEDERAL HOLIDAY is maybe they can understand the word "LAWER".

Allied Interstate will not stop calling me, the person they are looking does not live with me. 8 AM phone calls on Sunday Morning. This is BS.

Got a call this morning asking me to make a payment to them because it was late. They wanted $1900.00 immediately. I have never dealt with this complany before. I don't know why they had my cell phone number. They had the wrong middle initial of my name and the wrong last four digits of my social security number.

caller ID was anonymized as "800 service"

called at 7:30 PM Pacific Time, clearly after hours.

Tried to call back their number (800)214-8742 and the message machine did not identify the company, the message being "This call is after hours, please call back during normal business hours"

Googled the phone number found it was Allied Interstate, a collection agency with a long rap sheet of illegal collection practices.
