Yep. At 7:30 pm I got the call, thought that was funny. I guess it was a spoofed call. I did not answer, I proceeded to checked Scotia for the validity of the number, found this website with the same number and the experiences. Thank you for sharing. While some of us work hard others scheme to take it from us.

This number called me today and said it was from the Scotia bank. I got suspicious right away because why would a bank call you on a long weekend. About 2 years ago somebody claiming to be from Scotia bank called me and tried to get my personal data under the pretext of "confirming my account" and I was stupid enough to tell my birthdate and name but obviously didn't tell them everything because they're still trying to call me

Woman asked how I was doing. Said she called on behalf of Scotiabank. She asked for me by name, then said that I had been pre-approved for a low-interest credit card. I said I didn't want any credit card. She said thank you for your time and hanged up.

Said Scotiabank on my caller ID. Was asked to complete a short survey but first she had a credit card offer. Was asked for my postal code and then my birthdate. I hung up after the birthdate question. She had an US southern accent. I have received calls from this number before and I had the number blocked and somehow the call came through and it said United States on my call log. Scotiabank does not ask those questions.

Called me on September 29, 2017 at 5:39pm AST. I was asleep so I missed the call. I changed my cell number. My cell phone provider is Rogers. I just changed my cell phone number about a week ago because of a call like this.

Called me by name. Said they had my Scotiabank Scene card. Scotiabank had a special offer but l had to give him banking info to proceed. His accent was very heavy. He stuttered a lot. When l told him there was no was l was giving him any banking or credit card information so this call is over. I hung up.

they just called me and my phone went to voicemail (I didn't hear it ring) the woman in the background started her sales pitch 'thank you for taking my call' - to my voicemail. I have blocked this number so many times but they manage to get through... they stopped calling for about three months and have now started up again....

Called asking for "John Smith" - I said it was wrong number and they said they would remove the number from the list. Call display did not show Scotiabank so I was suspicious.

I got a call from this number for the first time today, I could hardly understand the lady on the phone. When she told me she was from Scotia Bank I told her I don't bank with them and I wanted to know why she was calling me. She instantly withdrew and started to tell me there was a bad connection with her microphone and she couldn't hear me. She proceeded to hang up on me. So, I called that number back and spoke to (who I assume was the same woman) and I asked again why Scotia bank was phoning me if I don't have an account. She listed off a bunch of stupid reasons and wanted my number AGAIN to see why I got a call. I told her she knew she just called me and to never, ever contact me again. I have scene points, if they want to send me offers its through email. I get that banks have people who do call out to their customers for legitimate reasons, and I'm not an aggressive person by nature but I've seen too many people receive this bogus phone call. Enough is enough
