rcvd a call from them yesterday, on my voicemail it says caller "Smokey Weeds" the number i rcvd was from 316-249-2836 but told me to call 1-800-240-7702

I received 2 calls from them yesterday.

At approximately 5:26 PM on Friday, 20 July 2018, I received a call on my Mother’s LAN line from an agency / company (no D/B/A name was provided) at (951) 821 – 0501. They introduced themselves as the Processing Department. They stated, “This is Matt Russell from the Processing Department. I am contacting you because we have received a complaint against your name and social security number. Contact us at (800) 240 – 7702 immediately to discuss / resolve this matter. This is the final attempt to contact you before we take court intervention.” Mr. Russell attempted to pass himself off as a law enforcement agent / officer via voice tone. This is very disgusting to us who have really serve in this field. I have no idea of who they are or who they are representing. I am filing a complaint with the state attorney’s office. Mr. Russell can explain to them why he is impersonating a law enforcement officer / agent.
