07-22-2020 Got the letter saying Distraint Warrant looks like it's sign by someone name Brian Johnson. There should be a law against people like this!!! False advertisement!!!

Distraint Warrant Scam, same as above. Honestly I wish people would use their powers for good! Being that the amount he found in old tax records had to paid prior to my selling me home, I know it's paid and not an issue....I moved almost a year ago. I really hate getting stuff like this, its frustrating and for someone who isn't paying attention, such as a elderly person it could be a successful scam. I will be reporting to the county! No call just a letter like the one mentioned above.

No call but "distraint warrant" in mail. Failure to respond...same stuff....Same kind of letter as previous comments. But the signature is illegible. Probably the 5th letter I have received. Going to take this to the county office and report the fraud!!

I have received three letters now starting in April 2020 from J. S. Brown stating the following: “This notice has been issued against the debtor ......., because of a lien filing due to the tax liability that has not been paid. This serves as a final judgement notice. The federal tax authorities can now take enforcement action such as seizing Social Security benefits and garnishing wages and bank accounts to satisfy the outstanding debt owed. If no action is taken by 6/25/2020 The Federal Tax Authorities may permanently revoke benefits, suspend licenses, and levy any federal tax refund gained this year. Your debt must be resolved in full to remove the lien. To avoid enforcement, CALL 1(800)215-3932 within 15 days of receiving this notice. Failure to respond in time will cause additional penalty to accumulate and lead to default judgement. I called the county to make sure there was no lien. There wasn’t. I contacted the IRS, I am in good standing with them. So I called the number and some dude answered. He started his dialogue and I stopped him short and told him he should be ashamed of himself and why he doesn’t go get a real job like the rest of us and quit preying on the innocent he growled something at me and hung up. I wish I could have come through the phone!

Also received letter to call J.S. Brown, levy SS for state owed taxes. Same wording as above.

No, they sent a letter of levy SS benefits and told me I need to call JS Brown at 1-800-250-5208 on 4/17/2020, that I owe $63,450 by 4/29/2020.

Agree with the previous comment. Received a very deceptive letter stating my Social Security benefits would be levied unless I called (800) 250-5208 and responded within the next 15 days. "Failure to respond in time will cause an additional penalty to accumulate and lead to default judgement." What a bunch of scum.
