This company calls several times per month misrepresenting themselves as calling from Alberta Business Development (or some other organization depending on your location). The are fishing to find out if companies are planning to move and ask if the moving plans have been finalized or if the company is moving.

If you answer that you are moving, they get a contact name and then forward the information to local companies that then contact you and attempt to get your moving business.

keep getting phone calls from Province of Ontario Business Development asking if we are moving our business to a different location. Why in the world would government agency (from Canada) be calling a US company asking questions about business operation. Definitely a SCAM. Already reported to local agency.

Callers must be from out of the country!

Had the same thing, said we were flagged for moving our offices and wanted to know what our managers name was. They would not let me take a number and call them back either. They saidthey were fromt he Canadian business development org.

Same story, they identified themselves as the "Province of Ontario Business Development Office". When I asked them "are you with the government of Ontario?" they hung up abruptly. They are clearly hoping to catch somebody off-guard by pretending to be with the government. I don't know what information they hope to collect but this is clearly some kind of scam.

An Idiot claiming his name is Kevin (even though he can barely pronounce the name Kevin in his broken english) keeps calling pretending he is calling from the State of Illinois Business Development Department. I already sent a formal complaint to the REAL State of Illinois Businesss Development Division to report the fraudulent calls and impersonation of a State agency. I told "Kevin", or whatever his name is, to stop calling us and lying about where he is calling from, he told me he is not taking my number off of his list. Ok Kevin- you asked for it-Game on.
