I got 3 unsolicited calls and voice messages from this number yesterday. The first was, "Hi, this is Chelsea with Wells Fargo following up with you about the loan application. Give me a call when you get a chance. My number here with Wells Fargo at 800-258-6649 extension 27282. Thank you." I have never contacted anyone at Wells Fargo and have no accounts with them. So, either someone contacted them involving attempted identity theft or Wells Fargo has ongoing fraudulent activity going on inside their organization along these lines. Based on all the complaints for this number here and elsewhere on the internet, looks most likely to be the latter. Very sad comment on our times either way.

I applied for a Wells Fargo home loan, and an agent followed-up from this number.
