They called me saying they needed more information before they could ship my order. When I called, they said they had a referral from my doctor for upper back pain. I made no order with them, and my doctor's office made no referral to them. I feel like my medical records got hacked.
They called me and said they needed to verify info to deliver a hospital bed to my home, which I do not need!
I missed their call, but the Caller ID said, "Cardinal Health" (no number showed up until I went to block the number later), and did not leave a message. So I called them back, and the receptionist said, "Edgepark Medical Supplies." Apparently, the valid phone number for Edgepark Medical is being used as a 'spoofed' number to make a SCAM call appear legitimate! Blocking the number won't stop the calls; spoofing just shows a FAKE number from the one actually being used to call you. They'll just use another fake number to call again. I've even seen other valid spoofed numbers, one even turned out to be the REAL customer service number for Hewlette Packard!
Yes they also called me. It is a legitimate company with medical supplies located in Ohio. It isn't a scam call at all. If they called you by mistake, just let them know. Because of HIPPA Privacy Act they can only ask so much.
these people called me on my cell phone, gave me my son's name and asked me who I was. I said he was my son, and they said 'provide us with his date of birth to verify who you are'. I told them NO WAY. I'll bet this was a scam, all they need is an address, name and DOB to steal identity. If they were for real, they would have answered my question when I asked them why they were calling.
