By following thread, appears that number really is for JCP -- but has been used for spoofing & so should only work on calls that people pick up the phone for while the b____ is still talking on line to your voice mail/recorder...

A text to my cell says JCP.. Spam as they do not have my number
Dialed number above 1st called was recorded messages saying I won prizes and to claim them. Called 2nd time recorded message asking for my Jc penny account number and if I didn't have it enter SS#. Stupid me did and was directed to a bank that is affiliated with JC Penny. Explain my concerns to rep at bank and she transferred me to customer service at JCPenny. Explaned to rep my concerns with calling 18003221189 and that their dialer tec needs to look into this matter. Because now I 'm not comfortable doing online orders with JCPenny now.
