We have received several calls from this No. 1-800-324-6956 Threatening that we might be shut down and/or fined if we do not comply with new 2016 regulations and for mailing them a fee, they (Merchant Services) will make all the problems go away. In checking we found that Merchant Services is nothing more that a group of individuals with computer systems connected in strategic areas attempting extort money, information and identifications to sell on the "Black Market" . . . in other words identity theft.
I recently spoke about this with a good friend and attorney and he advised me and anyone else that wants to stop these calls to start filing complaints with various government agencies (on line with some and with others you would have to use the US Mail system).
Start with the following agencies:
United States Attorney General
United States Treasury Dpt.
FBI
Interstate Commerce Commission
Fair Trades Commission
And as a business owner you can write your U.S. Senator and your
Congressional Representative and explain that you have had quite enough of these "Bogus", "Robotic Calls" and something needs to be done.
When these agencies and Representatives are loaded up with enough complaints they might just get off of their Duffs and start protecting the small businesses and consumers from the Scammers of all kinds for once! The Phone Companies such as ATT have the capabilities to stop these Bogus activities with one complaint but if they can't charge fees to somebody, they will not even speak with you no matter how criminal the activity.
We've been calls from this number several times, stating we need to update our equipment. Agree it's a SCAM ... the Caller ID shows "Unknown" or Unavailable -1-800-324-6956. I called the number and told them to remove my phone number from their call-list ... "told them I don't have a credit card machine (which I really do), and they said "ok" and removed me .... we'll see if that works. ... and of course when I called, I knew it was a scam, because a person answered the phone on the first ring and stumbled with the name of the company.

They claim to be with merchant services and want me to update my credit card machine. I'm not a merchant. It is a recorded call. Scam.
Called me at 9:4pm and hung up when I answered
