if there is debt owed and you answer and make contact that will start a new timeline so its possible to have this on your credit for extra time based on the new contact date.
A collection agency calling my cellphone number without expressed consent. Just letting the TCPA violations rack up to a beautiful number before I sue them in Federal Court. Up to $10,000 in violations so far. I think I'll press the button at about 30k.
Calls my office and employers cell phone repeatedly after being told that my employer does not allow such calls. This "collection agency" is a scam. SS and middle initial do not match and I have never had an account with the company they are collecting for. Either they have the wrong person or are just fishing for someone to assume a debt that they have no real claim to. At my companies request, I've kept logs and recorded several calls. All future calls are now automatically forwarded to the FCC.
Be warned, this company will try to trick you into admitting to debt that may not be yours. They have no authority to collect on this debt, but if you agree to payment terms, this will become an unrelated debt that you will owe to them even though it has nothing to do with why they called in the first place.
Have been calling every 4 days since May 20
