My message was on voice mail, checked the number on the internet, some said it was a fraud, some said its was legit, so I called the phone number on my card. They said it was legit an transferred it to that department. Some one was taking a flight, over $700 dolla4s, at my expense. Although this was a new card, they cancelled it and will issue a new number card.. Since I spoke firsts to Discover, and they knew what was on my bill 0reviously, I believes this phone number of 1-800-350-4577 is legitimate.

Discover Scam. Magicjack let this call go through, why do they do that???

Total fraud call. Verified with Discover by calling the number on back of my card. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO THESE CREEPS

You should never answer any questions from a random phone call. What you should do is first check to see if you still have your card and then call the number on the back of your card. Customer service will transfer you to the Fraud department. I asked them if the above # was legit and was told they couldn't say for sure as they have many #s. However, in this case, they had called, and my card had been hacked. A charge had been attempted and denied in another state. I can only assume they had my card # but not the security code on the back. After a few questions to prove my identity, I was told my card had been deactivated, to destroy my card and that another would be sent in 1-2 business days.

They called saying they're discover fraud protection. Don't answer their call or their questions. They put a fraudulent charge on your account and make it look like they're helping you. You still need to call discover and get a new card.

Got a phone message at 7:50 AM Sunday morning from the "Discover Fraud Department." I looked the number up and saw this warning and then logged into Discover online and saw that an attempt to charge against the card was made the day before and declined by Discover. Scammers must know the Discover system and were trying to get me to return their call and give up my SSN before Discover could alert me to the problem. Discover said that they would investige the scam.

Called last night (8/27/15), identifying themselves as Discover Fraud Dept., then called again this morning and asked for Social Security # and credit card #. However, I had called Discover directly last night,and talked to their Fraud Dept., and 3 charges had been made on my card yesterday, totaling $52.50. Discover removed them, and deactivated my card # and is sending new cards to me. This 800# is a scam #, fishing for info so that identity can be stolen.

I received an email and was told my Discover Card was hacked by someone who rented a car. I called the number above and the person said he was from the Discover fraud department. He asked for personal information and told me my card should be destroyed and a new card would be issued in 7 days. He said my old card would not be able to be used anymore.
