Received a call from this telephone number. No message was left and no callback was attempted.

Phone rang at 8:30 this morning! I didn't answer and no message was left. CID showed phone # and "Capital One." As I have one of their credit cards, I was concerned. This is NOT one of their published phone numbers. I did call this number back and the automated answering service had the same male voice as their "official" published number. The only difference was I was asked for the FULL account number, whereas the "official" number only asked for the last 4 digits of the account number. I therefore didn't proceed further and did not punch any numbers. I did call the "official" number later and reported this incident. The agent said they do have other numbers used by other departments which could have called, and also surveyors call on their behalf. She couldn't pinpoint if this was one of their numbers, however. She did say to use caution and not to give sensitive info unless absolutely sure of who I was calling or who called me.

(800) 365-2024: Robocall from "CAPITAL ONE" offering me complete debt forgiveness for my loan. I don't have a loan or any outstanding debt with them or anyone else. Obviously a scam looking for personal information.
