Probably a spoofed number. Synthesized female voice says: "Vicious activity on your Citibank account. Your Citibank card has been charged of $1,498. If you did not authorize this transaction, please press one to connect wage fraud specialist for dispute, please press one for dispute."

800-374-9700 - "Scam Likely"

This number called my cell AGAIN phone at 12:03 pm PDT on 10/05/2021. It's a spoof of Citibank's number because I typically get a live agent for fraud calls. The voicemail (transcribed below) appears to be the same as left on the same call on 09/15/2021.

I don't recommend anyone do what I did. But I got the same Citibank call today. (On a Sunday no less) So, I pressed #1. He said what can I do for you. I said you called me, what do you want? He said your Citibank credit card was charged, etc., etc. I said: Sir, I don't have a Citiibank credit card (in fact I have no credit cards). So, I said to him: Take your scam and shove it where the sun does not shine. And while you are it: Get a real job and make your mother proud!!! Again, I don't recommend anyone do this. I am just so sick of scammers.

PHISHING SCAM

Called and said my Citi account was compromised ~ a $1498 charge from indonesia was made. Asked for my name, told me not to log into my account online bc the account was compromised ~ of course I logged in right away and called Citi to confirm there were no suspicious charges. Caller ID was CITIBANK ONLINE. I should have known better than to answer. When I confronted caller saying I think this is a scam, he hung up.
