This might be legit but my experience was sketchy. I first got a text (which I had another from the same sender over a year ago) and I texted back the charge in question was fraud. Then they called both my personal and business phone numbers wanting me to press any key for the next representative. Instead I called US Bank directly. Customer service checked my accounts and said no one had any kind of hold or had been in my accounts today. About 5 minutes later the call came again and I waited for a representative. When they asked me for my billing address I asked for more information (1 because I'm not sure this isn't fraud and 2 because my cards have 2 different billing addresses). I said I'm not in the habit of giving information out to people who call me and asked for the last 4 digits of the card in question. She would not give that to me and instead said she could not help me if I wasn't willing to give her more information. I then logged in to my US Bank account and checked all of my accounts - none of them have a pending charge in the amount referenced in the text message and no other strange charges. I am going to keep an eye on this just to be safe.

Received a message from robo call on my cell phone stating this is a fraud alert. I called the number on the back of my credit card and it was determined this was a scam.

I called my banks directly to verify there were no fraud charges. All of them indicated that i had no flagged charges on my accounts. Unfortunately, due to a chat agent misunderstanding, I thought this was legit and called. Immediately hung up after they started suggesting they couldn't pull up my information without a lot of extra, unnecessary information. Canceled the card I gave them to be on the safe side.

I got a text message saying there was a purchase on my US Bank card. I then got a call from this 1 800 number. I did not pick up but found this site and called US Bank directly. There were 3 fraudulent charges on my card in another state, 2 of which went through. US Bank cancelled our card and will be mailing new cards. The number probably is legit, but I still feel safer calling US Bank directly.

This number called and left a message saying they were fraud prevention about a card ending in last 4 digits, and it was important I call them back. I didn't call them back, and instead googled the number. but turns out there were fraudulent charges on my card.

Computer robo said: "...it is important we speak with you." Never said WHICH bank or credit card company. That by itself is greatly suspicious. So any previous post on this site that says it's from xx bank should also be suspicious.

The number, 800-379-8461 is US Bank Fraud Prevention Line. I got a voicemail from that number asking me to call that number about suspicious activity. I called the Customer Service number for the card issuer and was automatically routed to their Fraud Department. In my case, they declined the suspicious charge and wanted to confirm it was fraudulent. They were on top of it!

User claims to be from US Bank Card services. This appears to be a scam caller trying to elicit more information about the credit card. Heavy foreign accent.
