Yes, they are calling a patients' hospital room. What is wrong with these people??? He obviously does not want to hear about any health insurance offers. He's sick. That's why he's in the hospital

This is NOT a scam or identity theft. This is the Condition Care program that is offered at NO COST to supplement your Anthem Health Care Insurance. It provides you with access to a Nurse Line you can contact. They will also check in with you periodically. You CAN opt out, but if you do, you won't be able to call their line either. They won't ask for your personal information (other than your year of birth) and they already have some information regarding conditions you may have (based on information from your Anthem claim history). So, if you don't want them to call you, simply accept the call, then tell them you do not agree to be contacted and they will stop calling.

Called March 2014, March 2015, and 2x March 2016. No previous messages left, caller ID "Unavailable". This last time I picked-up but just listened. after about 5 seconds (obvious robocall) a live male "southern" accent began talking. Something about not selling something, then I hung-up. If a legit call, why was caller ID "unavailable". I have received legit BCBS calls with that caller ID and they always leave a message.

A Mr Anthony Grady from Anthem - Blue Cross Blue shield attempting to get my wife on the phone with a Nurse Case Manager which is a new benefit as part of the health model program. Asked to have my wife call her at (866) 670-5675. Seems legitimate but with the recent data leak and credit monitoring services paid by Anthem; seems fishy. My wife says she's had similar calls before and that this is not a new service, so might really be Anthem.

Got a call at work from these pretending to be my insurance provider. Weird thing is they are sufficient information to make me believe it. I even had them correct my address and phone number. The weird thing is that I didnt feel it was legit, felt like this was a scam or something else. Has anyone found out what this is?? I heard sometimes PI do that to gather information about you because someone is paying them to find you. Is this true?

These calls are NOT from BCBS, these calls are from people PRETENDING to be from BCBS/Anthem/other insurance.
Do Not Answer these calls
If you answer do not TELL them anything personal

they always call their customers and try to tell you about their wellness benefits. problem is... they call at the wrong times and ask they're doing is reading a script. very annoying.

Called and wanted my daughters info. She is 5 and we are on medi-cal! Refused to tell me why they were calling unless I gave them info. Called back the number on my card and the lady said there was no reason for anyone to call me.
