"Tim" Indian accent caller lied to me and HACKED my macbook. Do not believe these liars and hangup! He took over my computer and who knows if he took my data or not. He said he worked for Apple support system when I asked and was very sketchy. The alert that came up was for time Warner Cable and had a different number than the one he gave me. He told me it had to be fixed by a level 9 comp.tech and was showing me how my comp was hacked...they need to be reported. When called back...another Indian answered saying it was a motel in Vermont. Definitely hackers.

got a safari alert on my ipad and i call on this number a guy pick up te phone with a name of heavy jevy accent with a name of james
he don't sounds like james he was such an fucking idiot he told me to hook my ipad to computer i asked him do you work for apple he said yes

I got the same thing and thought it was a little scammy. I went into Safari in Settings and clicked " Clear History and website Data." After that problem solved. I'm not sure what caused it as I had multiple tabs open on my phone. However to be frank a few of those tabs were from pornhub, so I wouldnt be surprised if that is where it all started from.

number came up on my iPhone stating my phone was compromised. Dialed the number it was indeed an Indian call center. Hung up.

got this on my wife's iphone as well. safari locked up due to a pop up. DO NOT call the number it says to call. It is a phising tactic. The man on the phone told my wife to download joinme so he could remote operate her computer and pulled up a wikipedia page explaining that our home network was hacked. When I took the phone to hear this he told me all our devices hooked to our network were hacked and that my wife's computer would need to be repaired and the cost would be $200. Then told me it is impossible to change my public IP address (which is a flat out lie) and I told him I will consult with my friends that work on networking for a living and he got aggressive with me and said don't call them when our machines break down and I asked him if he worked for apple and he said yes and that his name was "Maxwell" I asked what is last name was and he hung up. Thing is we don't own any apple computers.....
