CREDIT CARD INTEREST RATE REDUCTION WAS THEIR PITCH.....OBVIOUSLY TO STEAL MY IDENTITY USING THE PHONE. LEGITIMATE OFFERS ARE SENT VIA POSTAL SERVICE.....BUT SINCE THEY DON'T WANT TO GO TO JAIL FOR POSTAL FRAUD THEY USE THE PHONE INSTEAD.

I usually press 1 and then ask for the persons home phone number so I can call them each and every day at all hours. Or I tell them I stole a credit card (I didn't) and the owner would probably appreciate a lower rate.
