Someone from 800-427-0106 called twice within an hour on 5/18/19 claiming that comcast detected a problem and wanted us to call to schedule an appointment to have a tech come to our home. We never answered the phone. Both times a man left a message acting like it was urgent for us to call.

YEP! Got this call today 2/23/19. But my robokiller app that i coincidentally installed on my iphone yesterday flagged it as scam call. The guy norman sounded legit. but i was still suspicious, So i checked online and am confirming here that not only does the robokiller app work great but the call WAS a scam call. I didn't allow the appt. Not sure how this scam works, Not sure how by them showing up at my place was going to get them any personal info. Some how they did have my home address. Thankfully i have 24 -7 hr alarms if they ever bother going there...

Received two calls saying there was an open service appointment for my equipment and they needed to come check it before there were problems with my service . for one I own my own equipment so I know owning your own does not come with home visits free of charge Also I never scheduled an appointment so how could I have an open service appointment to schedule free of charge. The real Comcast told me because i own my own device they won't have techs free of charge if I ever had issues with my modem. Scammmm

If you get a call from 1-800-427-0106 DO NOT return the call nor provide them with any Information. This number IS NOT Comcast! It is a SCAM operated from Overseas trying to Phish or obtain information about your genuine Comcast account for later ID Theft. DO NOT SPEAK OR GIVE THEM INFORMATION - HANG UP! Period.

Voicemail claiming to be a service call from Comcast - I do not have Comcast

Scammer called me at work and cell pretending there is a network issue. Trust and believe Comcast has high security and would never have an outside caller. IT would contact us directly.

Got a call from 800-427-0106 on 8/17/18 at 2:57 PM; it came up on Caller ID as Comcast Tech Sup – so I assumed it was legit. Some Indian-sounding guy claimed that there was a cable issue in the neighborhood and that they needed to come inside my home and check our connections because this issue could be sourced here and affecting our neighbors, even if it wasn’t affecting us. Said that they were making this request of everyone in the neighborhood and that the visit would take about 45 minutes. I told the guy that in all of my 63 years on this earth I have never gotten a call like this from a cable company asking for access to my home when we were not experiencing any issues and hadn’t reported any. He insisted that they needed to check (while being non-specific about the alleged issues – and BTW, I didn’t think checking connections should take 45 minutes) and said that the visit would be free and totally at our convenience. First availability was Sunday morning (8/19/18), 7:30 AM to 10 AM, so I opted for that. They never showed. Meanwhile, my radar was up, so I called Comcast (the number on my monthly bill) and, because it was a Sunday morning, I never got to talk to a live person, but the recording told me that we were NOT scheduled for any visits from them. I subsequently Googled the 800-number that had called Friday, and found this site.

Spam - called three times today and twice yesterday.

Tried to get me to change my acct. They new my home address but nothing else. I called comcast and they told me it's a scam. Just hang up.

I also got a call from this number multiple times. So I called back. Talked to someone over seas, gave them my name and road. Yup, I did. After doing so I was freaking out all day after thinking of what I just did. Went home and checked my Xfinity account. An appointment was showing for the day and time I requested.

Dylan from "Comcast" called me at 2:25 pm 9/22/17 and said I was having "interference" and they need to check the lines to my modem and router. I have had Xfinity come out to work on the pole in the last week because we are having problems, so I wasn't sure. I took his name and number and said I would call him back after I checked with Comcast. I called Xfinity/Comcast and eventually got to a person in technical support. She scheduled a legitimate appointment for me. She said they do have technicians who make calls to customers from their warehouse and she doesn't have their phone numbers. So this could be one of their technicians phone lines or a criminal's number and there is no way to know. Hmmm.....

I hate Comcast.

They called and emailed me. Explaining they detected a issue in area wanting to get into my home and inspect my connections. Called Comcadt, they had no record of making any such call. Scam!

Trying to impersonate Comcast saying inside wires are bad & could effect entire neighborhood. Called real Comcast # & they confirmed it is a scam.

Received a call on my cell phone they want to inspect my equipment to call between 8 am and 8 pm. They said a network monitoring system had detected a problem. I am not having any problems. I believe they are trying to sell additional services.
