This was not a call it was a letter telling me to call 800.427.2449 right away Stating "- we detected suspicious activity on your credit card and as a precaution, we've temporarily suspended your account." I do not have a Bank of America credit card and suspect this is a Scam.

1-800-427-2449 is a legit BOA Fraud Dept. telephone number. I received a letter in the mail from BOA alerting me to suspicious activity and suspension of my credit cart account and requesting me to call that telephone number. I did, and the representative asked for all of my personal information: address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, and FULL social security number. I provided everything except the full SOS number, giving only the last four digits. Although the letter appeared authentic, after the telephone conversation I felt that the letter and the telephone number could be an identity theft scam. So, afterwards I immediately telephoned the BOA Fraud Dept. at the telephone number listed on the BOA website, 1-800-732-9194, and the new representative I reached was able to retrieve the record of the previous conversation I had with the previous representative I had reached through 1-800-427-2449. So, this number is a true BOA fraud department telephone number.

It's Bank of America Fraud Department, if you don't feel comfortable talking to them if they call you, call the Bank of America 1800 number and have them transfer you to the Fraud dept.

I made a purchase that was over a $1000 with my BOA credit card, i got a call with a ref#, i called back without thinking about it cause i figured they were calling because of the purchase. I gave her my full credit card number and she was able to tell me what purchase was the issue and how much it was. I verified that I did place that purchase and that was that. So turns out it was legit on my end. I should mentioned ever since Equifax had its breach, I went ahead and frozen my account, this way no one can open anything in my name. You need to freeze it at all 3 bureaus.

Received a text message from 322-632 with message about specific transactions on my BOA credit card. Since my entire family has VISA debit cards (5) and my sons have credit cards I passed the info along and nobody had a card with those numbers.

I responded back No to text and received very official sounding call back from automated phone system and 1800-325-6217

I called and they asked for the card number, I said, "I don't have one that matches" she responded, "Social security number" I said, "Not happening sweetie." she quickly said, as hanging up. Call the number on the back of the card.

PHISH SCAM, BEWARE

This was a legitimate call from FIA Card Services fraud protection. They called 3 times in a row and left 2 messages with my name and the last 4 digits of my credit card, saying that they suspected fraudulent activity. I signed into my account online and got a message saying that there was a hold on my account for suspected fraudulent activity. I called the number on the web site just to make sure I was calling a legitimate number.

If you get a call from this number, I believe that it is legitimate, but just to be careful, you can call them back at the number on your credit card or on your credit card provider's web site.

supposedly a call from the fraud division of Bank of America warning Harold Edison of conspicuos activities on acount ending in 5841 with a reference number of 632. When I called I was told this was the number that was given to them. I demanded my number to be removed but was told that couldn't be done even though I am on the Do-Not-Call registry.

I also received a call from person name Justin who asked me to call back at 1-800-427-2449. I did call and one girl replied at other side. I told her that this account is no longer active. She was asking me about my personal details which luckily I did not provide. When I asked them more questions about their Bank Of America affiliation. she hang up the phone. I called BOA credit card services and they told me that my old card has been used in Tampa, FL today but it has been declined. I asked them to put my card on fraud monitoring now.
