I received a letter purporting to be from Bank of America that there was a problem with my credit card (ending in *^*^) and to call immediately 800-427-2449. I called and talked to a woman who said her name was Rosabell. I told her I do not have a credit card with BOA and those four digits were from a card I canceled in 2004. She had me give her my name, date of birth, social security number, parent name and birthdate and asked for my banking information. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me. what do I do now that I have been so stupid?
Received a letter in the mail claiming to be from Bank of America. The letter said a recent purchase was attempted at CSI 208060 1839 using my credit card and was unsuccessful. I was unable to authenticate this phone number or the validity of the letter to Bank of America.
If you have someone leaving a message or telling you to call this number, It'a a scam. Not really Bank Of America. Report them immediately to BOA.
