Called me on my land line twice 5-10-17. Claimed to be
wells Fargo Fraud Prevention. I called back, like a fool, and hung up when I realized all they were doing was asking questions and not giving any information. Wells Fargo verified they are a scam.

800-446-0664 is a legitimate Wells Fargo Fraud Department customer service number. I did not talk to the automated caller and provide information, but when I called back with the number on the back of my credit card I learned that there was a fraudulent charge made to my credit card. A new card is being issued.

The legitimate Wells Fargo fraud reporting number is 1-800-869-3557 for personal accounts,1-800-642-4720 for credit card fraud,1-866-867-5568 for online services fraud,1-866-867-5568 for phishing email and texts fraud,1-800-869-3557 for suspicious phone calls and identity theft. This number is itself a fraud: 800-446-0664 is a fraud/phishing call and any Wells Fargo agent will tell you to AVOID giving any information when contacted by that number.
This number 800-446-0664 is Wells Fargo Visa card fraud protection. They left an automated voice mail message today 10/10/2014 stating my full name and needing to confirm transactions. My card was stolen last night, and used today at a gas station. WF flagged the transaction. Their algorithms must be getting better. Of course, I never spend $100 at a gas station. Must have been a big tank to fill. (I'm posting this in all of the who-called phone number sites just to make sure everyone sees that it is legit)

they must have used the card and filled up may different vehicles at the pump, not just one car.......... filled one tank, swapped to the next vehicle
I've been receiving a phone call from this number, this phone call wants to verify my credit card that possible had fraudulent attempt to charge. This phone call is from WellsFargo Bank, I called them but they don't have registered this number in their record. Please be alert of this number.

I did the same and first talked to the people about my checking account and my debit card. They reported no problems with my checking account. When I went on the app, I saw there was a problem with my credit card account. When I called I learned that there was a fraudulent charge made to my account. The number is legitimate. But to be safest, just hang up and call back on the number on the back on your credit card.
