I called PenFed # on there website the info the lady called me from the above # was verified... look into it call then directly it looks like a realative has an account and there trying to get incontact with then look into it and do your homework before you totally blow it off...
It's a BS call. Called back. A guy answered simply by saying, "this is Rich." Asked questions that he couldn't answer. Said I was late with one of my accounts. I DON"T HAVE ANY CONSUMER DEBT WITH PFCU! I politely told him I only have checking and savings with PFCU and I didn't believe the call I received was legit. He seemed annoyed...took a very deep breath and began speaking. I don't know what else he had to say because I hung up.
BEWARE! They (two distinct female voices) called and left voicemails on 15 and 17 September, 2020, providing no details other than that they were calling from PenFed and requesting that I call this number. I called a DIFFERENT, KNOWN PENFED PHONE NUMBER THAT IS PUBLISHED ON ITS WEB SITE AND INCLUDED IN DOCUMENTS I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THEM IN THE PAST and the operator at that number confirmed that there were no issues with our accounts and that the number we have been discussing is not a legitimate PenFed phone number.
I called the Pentagon and the number is from them. So, I added to my PFCU contact. It's good to check eveycaller.com when you get a dubious call.
Always a problem, usually lies, and abusive Ironically my accounts are in good standing..
