(800) 452-5731

I've received at least six calls ON MY CELL PHONE in the last week from 1-800-452-5731. Only once, a woman answered and asked for someone who was unknown to me; every other time was a hang-up as soon as I answered. I called the number this morning to find out who was calling and why they continued to call even after I told them that the other person was not at (my) number. I was on hold for at least 15 minutes, listening to a message in English and French, before I finally hung up.

This site indicates the number belongs to Allied Interstate, a debt collection agency evidently known for this type of practice.

I have no idea how they got my cell phone number, why they're calling me after they've been told (---) does not live here, nor how I can get them to stop calling.

THIS IS THE WORST, AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COLLECTION AENCY EVER. THE GUY ON THE PHONE CALLED ME "MAMI" AND STARTED TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY HE MAKES !!! I THEN ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR AND HE TOLD ME B/C I WASN'T PAYING I COULDN'T SPEAK WITH ONE AND CONTINUED TO BABLE IN MY EAR, WHNE HE FINALLY PUT HIS SUPERVISOR ON THE LINE HE WAS JUST AS RUDE IF NOT MORE. HE DIDNT CARE THAT I WAS TRYING TO COMPLAIN HE CUT ME OFF AND SAID THAT IF WE WEREN'T DISCUSSING HOW I WAS GOING TO PAY THE BILL THEN HE WAS HANGING UP. I WAS TOLD SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE PHONE CALL THAT HIS WASN'T CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THIS WAS COLLECTIONS SO IT DIDN'T MATTER HOW I WAS SPOKEN TOO !!!
