I have told them time & again that the person they are looking for does not live at our number. They don't care, they have an automated dialer that just shoots out calls.

The call left on my voice mail stating they were trying to collect a past due debt, which I don't have! I tried to call, but was put on hold. The I decided to google the name and went to this site. Glad I did.

Someone called from EOCCA and inquired as to if they knew me, and the call ws recieved by my brothers daughters husbands cell phone. Can you believe that? I do not give out his mumbe to anybody, nor have i mayself evern called him on that number. This must be a clooction agency and they willl stop at nothing to try and find someone ,harrass , or what have y ou. I'm am so sick of our government turning a blind eye ot these kind of tacticts setup by crdit collectors.

I myself will find their number ,place or ?, and inform them of a pending lawsuit against THEM now. This is against the law.

I just called these jokers back. They left a message on an answering machine that said "if you don't hang up right away you acknowledge that you are {persons name who does not live at my house}." Then it left a message, calling me that name and telling me I had to call. After three tries I got through and told the woman that I was NOT that person, and she did not live here. She said my number would be off the list in 24 hours. I then told her that it CAN'T be legal to leave a message that I acknowledge that I am someone on a voicemail. "oh, well, that's just a recording, not a legal contract" she said. I told her to tell her supervisor that I was going to report it to the AG of the state (NJ) and she laughed and hung up on me. I think everyone should start reporting them all the time. Maybe some law enforcement can do something!

Actually, it is legal to leave the message stating if you are not so and so, hang up now. EOCCA collects for many places, including Verizon. The person I had was fine and gave me the address right away - 700 Longwater Dr., Norwall MA 02061 and I had no problem getting a hold of him. The calls are probably contracted out to people who do the work from home so you never know who you might get.

I have received calls from these people and when they ask for my private information I tell them the information they tell me that's not the address they have on file and want to know where I lived 7 years ago. When I ask what this is concerning and what they want they refuse to give me information. I've returned their calls several times and get the same BS.

So if they don't want to tell me what this is regarding I really can't help resovle anything if you don't tell me what it's about.

I have been getting calls from this company left and right and it's really starting to piss me off! Not only do they call from a different number each time, making my list of collected numbers from them evergrowing, but the few times I have actually talked to these people, they want to re-direct me several times, have me speak with several people, interrogate me, and still refuse to give me information when I start asking about their purpose and company. I TOO have been hung up on once I start getting in their face, as they so much enjoy getting into mine.
I have explained to them multiple times that I am not the person they are calling for, yet they still call. I have asked that they remove my number from their calling list, and yet they refuse. I have had lengthy conversations with these people telling them I am NOT who they are looking for and yet they come back with snide remarks and sarcasim dripping off every word, essentially calling me a liar, insinuating that I am in fact who they are looking for and that I just won't tell them.
They call me at least 3-5 times daily, of which I now refuse to answer. They used to leave those lame recordings about how "vital" it was for me to get back to them, but now they just call and hang up when I don't answer, no longer leaving the recorded messages. They even call my office! I work for a prominent law firm, and I've been very open with my fellow attorneys on this issue and, I've enjoyed handing the phone over to some of the more aggressive attorneys who don't take crap from anyone. But regardless of the comedic-vengeance we've sought, in an effort to cope with this company's incessant calls, it doesn't excuse their actions. They have even called me several times at night. I'm not talking at five or six o'clock in the evening, I'm talking 8-9-9:30-10:30, even midnight two or three times! That is just completely unecessary and ridiculous and 100% unprofessional and rude!
ABSOLUTELY OUT OF LINE!!

I can't even begin to tell you how many calls I have had from this company. I have told them at least 6 times that they have the wrong number and the person they are looking for is not at my number. They still continue to call. They said my phone number is not in their system, and gave me the number they are calling. SURPRISE SURPRISE - it rings on my phone.

I have received several phone calls from this number. A message is left saying "this is an important message from EOCCA and I must return the phone call and reference a file number.

these morons continue to call after they were advised that our 26 year old daughter passed away in 2009. They sarcasticly advise us that the calls will continue. If they really want to speak to me about my daughter they should be bold enough to knock on my door. Real tough guys hiding behind a phone. better yet, Demerest , why don't you come over and represent them you AH.

Not a complaint (yet) just information.
The company name is EOS CCA. They are a debt collection company, not a scam. The company website is http://www.eos-cca.com. They use public records to find any associations that connect a person to a method of contact; an old address, old phone number, old cell number, old workplace, relatives, previous spouses, school class lists, Google searches, Facebook associations, tax records, business records, etc. They collect on everything from credit cards, medical bills, utility bills, parking tickets, taxes and government bills.

They are not bound by Do Not Call lists because they are not telemarketers - they are debt collectors.

By law, though, they cannot give out personal information about someone they are looking for. They can't say" I am looking for John Smith, social security number xxx-xx-xxxx, that owes $4,800 to Master card account number xxxxx." By the same token, you are not required to give out any of your personal info over the phone, either.

As for the rudeness of their customer service, think about it, it must be a miserable job, with people yelling at you, berating you all day, BSing and lying to you, calling you names. I think it would be very difficult to "Put a Smile in your voice" dealing with that all day. Its also a psychological tactic to wear down deadbeats that do owe money. For the people that are truly a 'wrong number' it is annoying.

A complaint to the Better Business Bureau would probably be more effective than calling the police or the DNC list.

I received a call from this outfit. The individual could barely speak English. He claimed I owed money for a cell phone bill that was paid long ago, and stating that if I didn't pay, it would affect my credit. I question the validity of this outfit.

OKAY PEOPLE THIS IS A COLECTION AGENCEY AND ITS EOS-CCA NOT EOCCA. www.eos-cca.com. THIS IS THE BETTER OF COLLECTION AGENCIES I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH. THEY ACTUALLY HELP YOU FIND A RESOLUTION TO YOUR DEBT PROBLEMS. THIS IS NOT A SCAM AND THIS PLACE HANDLES ALL KINDS OF THINGS: STUDENT LOANS, SPRINT, AT&T, MEDICAL BILLS, XM RADIO, DOR, ETC.

I received a recorded message (not even a real live human's voice) telling me to call some 800 number, and when I did I got an answering machine or voicemail. I left a message waiting for a phone call back, and it's been a week and no one has called me back yet. Also, my sister who lives in a completely different state received a letter addressed to ME at HER address from these clowns. These people are a total scam, do not send them any $$$. If this collection does not even show up on your credit report then do not worry about these phone calls. And if something random does show up on your credit report, dispute it with one of the credit reporting agencies. I would not just send these people your $$.

As for EOCCA, has anybody else noticed that if you Google these clowns, all that comes up is a long list of people complaining about them? And their own webpage is nowhere to be found? Does anybody know their URL?

I get calls from these people also. They asked for BOB K. (my father-in-law's name). He doesn't live with me. He has had the same home and phone number for over 40 years. I tell the callers he doesnt live with me. I have gotten "you were listed as a reference", but they didn't ask me typical reference questions. I have gotten he listed this number as an emergency contact, so what's the emergency?? I have no idea if the company is legit or scamming.... As for not getting these calls if you pay your bills, that is just ignorant. My bills are all paid and I get them. My first search of EOCCA on google turned up tons of posts like this.

866-265-7927 calls many times per day asking for different names all the time none of whom I know. They say I have to call them to be removed if I'm not that person. My phone is listed under my name and not the names they keep asking for. They never say what they want. They are the EOCCA and they said a supervisor is Jim Lynch. Jim Lynch does have a voice mail box. I was told he works in their Dallas Office. Other number they call me from are 800-434-8681, 800-268-9806 as well. They are harrassing me. They've been doing this for months.

LOL. Apparently I'm not the only one wanting to show Dorian the error of her/his ways. TAKE NOTE: Collection agencies/law offices will send mail and make phone calls to anyone with the SAME LAST NAME as the person they are trying to collect from. I have been getting both for a couple of people for years, and was lucky enough to get in contact with a nice lady when returning one such call. She explained this to me, apologized, and I haven't heard from her law office since. The collection agencies are a different story, so I don't bother answering them. Like one person said, if they do remove you from their list, you're just back on someone else's in a little while, looking for the same person.
So, Dorian, that's why we people with excellent credit are on their list. We share the same last name!
