I have recieved multiple call from these people...they claim to have sent me certified letters that i never recieved, also was threatened with a criminal fraud complaint. I have no idea what they are talking about, heads up...they are in violation of the FDCPA. If you get a call from these people and they threaten you, contact an attorney and sue the crap out of them, I am going to. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR ANY REASON.

Joe Torrez gave the same line to my friend. He told her that he is an FBI agene and If she does not wire him the total amount by certain date, she will be looking at 2-5 years in Federal prison.. My friend was so scared that even though she was not sure what was owed nor the amount, if any, she decided to pay him. she came to me to ask me to lend her some money. After I hear her story, it sounded very fishy to me. One cannot be put in any jail for defaulting a private loan. None the less the Federal Prison, if it is the case, a quarter of the country would be in prison. In addition, FBI would not call people to collect measly few hundred dollars. At most one would get a judgment against him/her for wage garnishment, but not prison terms. Thanks to this site. now we know its a scam. a real collection company should be able to produce the copy of the original loan papers. which he could not. My friend will block all the five numbers now from 6145 to 6150 from now on. If she really owe that money, then she can go to the court to settle it.

I got a call today aayong that I took a payday advance 3 to 5 years ago and the check to repay was nsf. They had my social security number as well as banking info and address. The bank info they provided was an account that I closed 6 years ago and the address was from 2007. I called my old bank and have never had an nsf and nobody has tried to cash a check since it was closed. This is a scam, they wouldn't give me the name of this company that I supposedly borrowed money from. I have alerted all 3 crwdit bureaus as well as my current bank since they have my info ans I would suggest that anyone else who has received this call do thr same.

mu husband got a call saying that he took out a payday loan 5 years ago and never paid it back, so they said he would be brought up on charges , he gave a statement , and when i called back the guy says well maybe it will just go away. said they sent many letter and he had a hearing today , well never got any letter s and courts have no records so please dont fall for this

My daughter received a phone call from Joe Torres stating he was "investigator" that she had taken out a pay day loan 5 years ago and that if she did not pay 280.00 by the end of the week that the bank was going to prosecute her and that she was going to jail for 2.5 years. He scared a mentally ill person to death by making threats! It absolutely disgusting how this collection agency works!! He claimed that they have been trying to track her for the last five years. Hard to believe when we have lived in the same town for 25 years.
