When this number calls, the first thing heard is a recorded message about having been "selected" to receive a low interest credit card - as low as zero per cent; when you stay on the line and indicate you are interested, then you are connected with someone whose first question is about how many credit cards you have and what types. I did not provide any such information but asked what company was calling me. The answer was Credit Bureau Experian. When I asked what number I could dial to reach this company, I was given 1800 465 4669 (albeit with some hesitate before the last four numbers were said). When I dial that number, a recorded message tells me it is not available in my calling area. Typically, I can call any 1-800 number from Canada, and get through, anywhere in North America. If you are called by this number, do not provide any credit card information. I suspect fraud.
