The rep that called me, Michelle, tried to be helpful. She was not rude, and agreed with most everything I said or told her. When she tried to get me to make a phone payment, I flatly refused to give my banking information to a collection agency over the phone. She pulled her supervisor, Norman on the call. He was very rude and condensending. Tries to belittle you into making a payment. Threatens to file with your state "to get their full amount back". Good luck! The government bails HFC out and then they resort to extortion methods with slimy bill collectors to get payment. Never finance anything with them is the best thing you can do.
They are commission based bill collectors, the lowest of the low. They stop calling after a few months, and do not get their commission for harassing people. :)
