Notes from 2015-01-14

Everything was fine with Time Warner before I authorized them to automatically charge my credit card. It was not immediately after I authorized them to automatically charge my credit card, that I realized that they were charging my credit card twice in the same month. It was also not immediately that I noticed that the monthly charge was being increased every other month.
I added up the charges that they had taken. and I compared this to the amount that I had agreed to pay.
I determined that Time Warner had overcharged me by 732.46 dollars.
I spent MANY HOURS on the phone trying to resolve this with Time Warner.
If I pressed the response that indicated that I wanted to pay my bill, I was served in 30 seconds.
If I pressed the response that indicated that I wanted to upgrade my service, I was served in 30 seconds.
To dispute a fraudulent charge you will be on hold for 4 hours.
Every once in a while someone would come on the line to see if I had given up yet.
If I had not given up yet then I would be disconnected, and I would have to start all over again.
During each of these calls I would be passed from one representative to another and have to go through the same explanation repeatedly.
I even had an appointment for a specific time, when the supervisor who I was told was the right person for me to talk with, was supposed to call me.
He never called.
Much later, SOMEONE ELSE called and apologized for his failure to call.
No one ever faced up to what they had done.
I switched my service to another vendor.
The Time Warner technician came and got their equipment.
I made him sign for the return of that equipment.
Then Time Warner turned my account over to a collection agency, and claimed that I had not returned their equipment.

Then on 2018-03-23 I started getting calls from 800 497- 8154 who I learned is a debt collector for Time Warner Cable. Time Warner is now Spectrum.

This is a high pressure collection agency out of Florida. They utilize very aggressive and annoying practices and tactics.
To those they call this company assumes their guilt before any explanation. They have a horrible record of conduct by testimonies online and arrogant responses to those on their "hit list".
