I had a charge on my credit card for $39.90 from 1-800-511-9287 for magazines. I know I never have ordered magazines ever. At first I couldnt get thru to the number, but once I did the girl told me I ordered a hand full of mags. for 19 payments of $39.00. I told her I wanted to hear the recording of me ordering these mags. that I would be cancelling my credit card, reporting them and getting an attorney which i would make them pay my attorney fees because I know I didnt order. She left the conversation, when she returned she said first said she couldnt get the recording. I said yeah thats what I thought and took names addresses and told her they would be hearing from my attorney as early as tomorrow. She left again, came back and said she could pull it up, but if she did and I was on tape saying ok to it then I was locked into contract and would have to pay full amount. Knowing I never did I told her fine lets hear it. She left again, came back and said..."Ms. Wolfe we have cancelled ur account and will be refunding the charge". So I said yep, thats exactly what ur going to do, made her give me a confirmation number and ask if she was recording now. She said, yes, so I stated loudly I have nor will I ever order mags. from this company you got that. She said yes and I was done. Anyway I still canceled my credit card and reported them. The name of the company is Midwest Periodicals...NOTE: I never got a call from these people they just took my money some how. Found out they had all my info and all my sons info. Im filing a huge complaint against this company, BEWARE and watch ur bank and card accounts...Heres to hoping everyone gets there accounts in order and we can take down companies like this.
