This same person named Amy called my home and cell phone today stating the above information regarding delivery of legal documents to me. I called the number left on my answering machine which was 800-340-5219 and talked a rude man who would not give me his name. He informed me that a credit card company had filed a lawsuit against me. I know this is not true because I have excellent credit and am in good standing with this particular credit card company. I advised him to remove my name and phone number from his directory. I have also filed a formal complaint with the NC Attorney General's office. I encourage everyone getting these phone calls to file complaints with the State Attorney General office where they live.

Amy ONeil from private services of Accufile called at 2:20 PM on 12/17/2014 stating there is a formal complaint that "they" must deliver papers to me about. I need proof by ID so said papers can be delivered to me either at home or at work. "They" can only attempt delivery two times. If I have questions eithe my attorney or myself can call 800-340-5219 to obtain more information.
Because she did not say my name or give me a file or reference number I figured this is some kind of scam. Then I looked them up in the Internet and found this site with information.

Any o'Neil from Acudile keeps calling- sometimes 10 times a day- she says she is trying to send papers about a formal complaint and someone must be home. She says me or my attorney must contact them. This has gone on for weeks. No letter has been delivered.

James Dorsett called looking for my daughter today. Was going on and on about the sheriff's department, and my daughter has two hours to call or they will be out and she will be in contempt of court! This is the most unprofessional place in the world and needs to be shut down. At first he said the sheriff's dept. will be out to serve papers, then when confronted about a time , changed his story. The bill is 10 years old and she disputed it years ago!

Person called my mother saying there is warrant for my arrest. I am currently overseas, so she started crying and hyperventilating. There is no warrant!

I too got a call from a Ft. Worth, TX number 682-730-8355 stating they were from the Sheriff's office looking for my husband. They said they were going to serve papers and had a case number. They told me they would put a hold on serving the papers and would not contact his job if he would call them at 1-800-540-5286. I thought it sounded like a fraud all along. Thanks to the previous post my suspicions were correct!

They are a debt collection agency who calls your place of employment and represent themselves as calleing for the Sheriff's office who is trying to serve papers. This is a fraud and they break the law by doing this. The Sheriff's Department this not work this way and has nothing to do with this company. The person who called my office called himself Anthony and said he was from Accufile.
