I didn't answer as I thought it was spam/scam. I did get a Code Red text at the same time from the NWS. CONCLUSION: This is a Code Red caller

At 1st I thought it was scam etc., so I hung up. 5:35pm on 5/6/2023. I did receive a Code Red text from NWS at the same exact time. I have come to the conclusion that I was wrong to just hang up & at least find out who called. Number is temporarily listed as CR in my contacts.

This is NOT a scam or telemarketers trying to get sales. Many cities and suburban communities use this service to notify citizens in time of danger.
My phone was called to let me know severe weather is coming in to be prepared. The National Weather Service's Warnings triggers these calls upon issue.

I got this call last night. I have an app called Mr. Number on my phone who detected the call from "Pulaski County Coroner's office". I answered it and it was a Code Red Alert. Talk about a freak out moment.

This is NOT a spam or scam call. Code Red Weather Warnings alert people of severe weather warnings that are about to happen.
Often times people do not have to sign up for the service, it they are contracted with a municipality in the area you live.
It is an honest weather warming system. I just got called as severe weather is about to come to my suburban community in the Cleveland area at 1:40a. A time when people are sleeping and not alert to potential danger.
