i keep getting ugly and harrasing calls almost every day from this company takhargroup.....i do not owe anyone that i do not pay....and if it is columbia house i filled my obligation, more than was suppose to then of course they have these other things that tell you no you didn't ...i did and will not tolerate this harrasment....i am reporting.

I got a message on my machine telling me to call an 800 number or to log on to www.takhargroup.com. I checked out the site and find out they are a collection agency for Columbia House. What the h*ll is going on with these people? I haven't done business with Columbia House in over 40 years (when I was young and stupid) and I remember closing out that account because, even then, I was able to smell a scam (it just took me longer back then to do so). As I recall, they ran me around in circles trying to close out the account even though it was LONG AFTER I had fulfilled my obligations (one of those usual bs offers where you get 10 eight-tracks...yes, it was that long ago...for a penny and only have to buy four more eight-tracks during the lifetime of your "membership"...the problem was that they sent their preselected choices so fast, you couldn't keep up with them, and their billing never made any sense and never corresponded to what you had received. I paid out the ying-yang to get out of that one. So why are they calling me now? I'll just add them to my list of rejected callers.

This company called with an automated message, as well. Well, first of all it wasn't a message left on my machine, but actually a completed call, as I was home to answer it. The automated message states that it is a "very important call from the Takhar Group" and that I should call back immediately or sign on to takhargroup.com. I started by checking out the website and come to find that my phone number and zipcode do not match up to anything they have in their system. I then call them back and find that they are looking for someone I know, who apparently gave them my number three years ago. Interesting how that happens since I've had the number for less than a year, and he wouldn't have had this number before me as he's never lived in this town. How could they possibly have gotten my number as given by him, before I ever had it? Kinda makes ya think, I'd say. So far, strike out on all counts.

Who are these rude people,demanding to know my name and my address.They called my place of residence.I was told that I should call back when I can be more cooperative.I don't miss payments on anything I have received.I am going to call my local Better Business Bureau to report this harrassment.

Stated that they are with The Takhar Group telling me I owed debt and need to repay it. Not only to have I have excellent credit ratings but I have little debt. This is a complete scam and plan to report them to the local Better Business Bureau and my state official. This is outrageous that they think they can intimidate consumers, someone will fall pray to this scam and get hurt badly...do not listen to this group...they are not who they say they are!

SOME TAGHAR ORTHAKAR OR TAKKAR GROUP, NOT SURE WHAT AUTO MESSAGE IS SAYING. NEVER LEAVE A NAME OR WHAT IT IS ABOUT OR A CONTACT PERSON. THERE ARE TOO MANY SCAMMERS OUT THERE TO PLAY GAMES ON THE PHONE. SO IF YOU ARE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT NUMBER THEN LEAVE A MESSAGE WITH A NAME OR DONT CALL. HAVE BEEN CONSTANTLY CALLING THIS NUMBER FOR MONTHS WITH SOME AUTO MESSAGE. SICK AND TIRED OF YOU TOO. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE OR REMOVE THIS NUMBER FROM YOUR LIST.

So rude. Called and automated message about "it being decent to call back". Which I did. lady on the line was so rude, wouldn't tell me anything.

It would be decent of them to be polite if they want someone to call them back, and maybe at least have the name of the person you want to speak to!

I get calls from this company, The Takhak Group about 4-5 times a day. Theya re very rude. They claim they are trying to collect a debt from the person who last had this number. It is not a suprise, because the last person who had my number probably talked to collection agencies more than anyone else on this line, Im guessing. However, the one time I spoke with them, I explained this number no longer belonged to that person. THEY WANTED ME TO GIVE THEM MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, BIRTHDATE AND ADDRESS, to prove I wasnt that person. They wouldnt tell me what they were trying to collect for. When I refused to give then requested information, they hung up. Now...I get get 4-5 VERY NASTY messages from these people every day from all different numbers. I think it is a scam.
