I got a call from Takhar and was very pleased that they reminded me of a bill that was outstanding for over a year.I spoken to a very nice young lady named Waneta,whom was very helpful.I paid my bill due to the fact I did not want it on my credit report.They are not a scam I called the better business bureau and they are a registered collection and I am happy to look after the bill. It seems more people should be honest like myself and do the same.

@paying...if you left the bill unpaid, and got a call from a collection agency it's already been reported to the three credit reporting agencies.....you may have paid, but you still take the hit on your FICO score and credit reports.

I have been called over and over by this group, they are calling my biz line. I finally called back to find out who they were looking for, it wasn't me so they said they will remove the number. I think it is worth returning their call since they are a collection agency. We will see if they call again!

They say they will take your number off their list and then they just keep calling... it never stops.
I have called back numerous times giving them my info--not ss#, but address and phone and name--makes no difference.
i called back and was snotty right back to the guy. i felt bad because he seemed nice but i stressed the fact that i would file for harassment if they called again and he seemed eager to take me off the list.

They called me a couple of times. I returned the call but nobody ever answered. Finally my husband called and someone said we owe money in Columbia. We never went to Columbia, and I don't know what they are talking about. Even we told them they got the wrong # or person, they continued to call. I will threathen to call police if they call again.

About 8:12pm my phone rang and since I did not recognize the number I didn't answer- I listened to the message that was left by the rudest sounding "female" saying that they are "still waiting to hear from me and that they expect the basic decency of a return call."
So because I have no clue who this "Takhar Group" could be, I called back and of course I got a recording stating that no one could answer my call and to call back or go to the website.
I know that currently I am not in debt so I'm not sure what this company is, but if they want the "decency of a return call", I think they should start by first addressing the person on the line with a name (of the exact company, the person they want to speak to and who they're speaking with), a reason for the call, a pleasant tone and also by calling at a reasonable time of the day. Just my opinion. Also for the record I will NOT be calling this company back!

We also keep getting calls to our business line from this group and the last few calls have been rude just like you said. " ...basic decency of a return call...." . I called the # and gave the man who answered "my two cents" and told them they were very rude and should handle leave more professional messages. He asked me if I know a Wendy lived here and I said no. He asked me if I knew her. Again, I said no and to take our # out of their records. He said she gave them our # as a contact #. He said he would remove our #. I was not happy nor was my husband.
same call here only had this # about a week dont owe any one anything.
