People - do NOT answer the phone if you don't know the number calling you. They spoof local numbers all the time to make it appear as if it might be someone locally that you know. DOn't answer the phone and do not call them back! File a complaint with the Attorney General and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Also complain to Dept of Educ. If enough people file complaints, CTI Collectors WILL be taken off the Dept of Ed collector list for their shady business practices!
