A middle-aged man and woman in a large white car left this on my front step. The envelope said to call BOA. It looked like a scam to me. I live in Milton, CT.

A flyer was left on my door today , my ring camera recorded the person that left the flyer on video. The phone number to call said is Bank of America and ask for social security number. 1-800-669-0102.

Some agencies need step up and charge them!!!!

To many calls on Sundays

harass my number constantly, many time daily, I listed them on my Comcast block, but the line still rings at least once. they should be shut down for extreme harassment, they don't comply with the "no call" list as so many do not.

I pay my loan ontime and I get these calls occasionally I don't pick up I don't trust 1800 numbers

They just dropped the door hanger (literally on the ground). In the fill in the blank portion it said BOA, then on the other line 18006690102. It was written in almost illegible handwriting. I ran out in my yard and about 3 houses down I watch some kid with a canvas shoulder satchel dropping one of these envelopes on every door on the street. It's not Bank of America folks. It's a phishing scam, designed to get your ID info. What I don't understand, from the posts I've read, this is an ongoing scam. Is law enforcement so inept you can commit phone fraud on this scale with impunity? I don't get it.

Got a door hanger. Called the number and got a recorded message to input my account number or SSN... right! And this "worker" dude above states it's legit... right again... he can't even spell in English!

said they had questions about my mortgage. Asked for my loan number and information on my mortgage and asked for personal info including my social security number. Said did I know I could get a lower interest rate by refinancing. said I was not interested and to stop calling. Have called 1 or 2 times every day for several days and I have not answered. They do not leave a message.

do a search engine on this
"Bank of America lime Joel Cambern" this skunk-fake human , is a vice president of bank of America in Seattle.
When I came to BoA offices, with my legal assistants for a faked mortgage modification meeting, this slob executive "joel cambern" threatened them. And we had to call 911 via cell phone on the spot. it happened at 17th floor of 800 5th ave. Seattle 98104
note that "lime" is also in the search. that's the bankrupt mortgage fraud group in Oregon that Joel Cambern came from, before his current gig with BoA. Further investigation shows he has quite a background of creating frauds, and its connected to the power clubs in Bellevue WA. He tries to hob knob with the rich people of Microsoft.

I do not have an account with BoA; I have a pay as you go phone that I purchased at Target almost two years ago and most likely the number belonged to someone with an account. Each time I try to call back (I've got the numbers on my reject list), I cannot get through to a human being because I "cannot be identified" by giving my social security # and zip code and anything else they ask for. I'm so tired of having even twenty five cents deducted from my phone each time I have to listen to and delete their voicemails. I can't stand it anymore. Once a different number showed up on my phone, I answered and asked them to take my number off their list because the person they were calling was no longer at the number and was hung up on, so I don't know what else to do. Reporting them does nothing because I've seen comments going back as far as 2007 suggesting this and it's now 2013 and they seem to be still at it harrassing people they shouldn't be harrassing.

This is a phishing scam and by giving them your social and zip code you have just made yourself extremely vulnerable. You should keep a very close eye on your credit reports
Loan counsuling

Someone left a hanger on my door and all it said was Please call mortgage company and the phone number. I called it and it was Bank of America. It transferred me to my "account representative" who of course does not work on weekends. I truly thought this was a scam. Bank of America has my phone number and has called me, why would they leave this on my door? I am in the middle of dong a Short Sale and waiting for approval for this with BofA. Dumbfounded as to why they would leave this on my door.

I got the envelope stuck on my door that says important please call BOA with the number. My house was foreclosed on and I was given a letter saying that I was going to be evicted but that was months ago nothing has happened. For all intents and purposes the loan has bounced back to Bank of America and legally I shouldn't own home anymore. However no legal action is taken against me thus far. Can anyone give me any advice? Here is my email address if you know something please tell me I would greatly appreciate it. fwhite956@yahoo.com

Hi Guys,
This telephone number is connected with Bank of America, but the reason for my post is to offer some first-hand advice on navigating the modification process since after reading so may of your comments, you seem to be going through exactly what I went through. First, don't give up! My father-in-law made the mistake of hanging on to BoA's every word and trusting that he didn't qualify for an adjustment (when he truly did) ended up losing his home in foreclosure. I, after 1.5 years of trying, was finally able to get a modification this past September with all final docs to prove. However, I'm still receiving notices about foreclosure. At BofA, the left hand truly doesn't know sh*t about what the right is doing.
The process was horrific! I applied and was denied at least 4 times over the 1.5 year span for reasons such as "incomplete paperwork" or for not turning something in that I most definitely did provide. I had enough and began writing to BofA and sending them copies of complaints that I filed with HUD and most specifically the OCC. Once I filed that OCC complaint, someone at BofA woke the hell up and listened. I furthermore googled email addresses for the executives and copied them on every email I sent. Annoying? Sure. But then I had proof that SOMEBODY received my documents, messages, and concerns so if they continued to sit around and do nothing I had a great case for court should they pursue foreclosure. Anyhow, I believe my complaint with the OCC is what helped my case. No more than a week after filing it I received a call from someone working in the office of the President and CEO. After that point my modification went through and I went into a "Modification Trial". This was only supposed to last 3 months but ended up lasting 12 months. I refused to continue making payments after 4 months because there was no guarantee that the modification would be finalized. If they were going to foreclose on me then I'd rather save my money for another place. My rep told me that he had some clients in "trial" for years, well not I! Again my complaint frenzy began. After pulling teeth and hair I got BoA to finally send me a letter stating what exactly was going on and what should be happening next. I wanted this, again, in case we needed to go to court. My modification was finally finalized in September, but I'm still dealing with the very intelligent system at BoA so I'm receiving notices about foreclosure even though I have final loans docs in hand. Ok, so here's what I recommend.
1) Fax a Cease and Desist to 1-800-685-0395 and 1-800-520-5019. In your fax request that they immediately STOP calling your home, and instead communicate in written correspondence only. It is the LAW that after receiving this request they have 30 days to stop calling you. Ensure you provide your most updated mailing address, and further include that you are aware of your consumer bill of rights and they they must honor your request or be liable for legal reprimands. Trust me, the calls will stop. I did include in my fax that my loan modification rep was permitted to call me, but the call center was not.
2) If you feel your account has not been handled with the integrity and attention it deserves, immediately file an online complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (www.helpwithmybank.gov/complaints) and the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov). This will get things moving.
3) Any time you correspond with BoA, copy to the following addresses:

*This may seem like over-kill but if you flood them, someone might just get annoyed enough to listen. It's unfair the way BoA treats its patrons and so someone should do something about it!
The united states government won litigation against BoA for fraud and misappropriation of funds as it relates specifically to mortgage adjustments. The government gave BoA billions of dollars to help people like us adjust our mortgages, but instead they force us into foreclosure, collect the government insurance, then resell our homes at a loss only to require we pay the difference. It's the biggest instance of white collar fraud in my eyes because it directly effects us hard working citizens who want to do nothing but continue working hard to keep our homes. I encourage and urge you all to yell, kick, and scream at the top of your lungs until somebody listens! Do not give up or give in to BoA's tactics. They want to run you in circles until you get tired and fall. But don't. Keep up the fight; you will win.

Last night I came home to the same envelope on my door. I thought it was from a utility company, but there was no name so I called the number and got transferred to my usual do nothing account rep that I get at B of A. This woman does nothing! Anyway it was Friday night so naturally I just got voice mail. Only this time she also gives her manager's number, so I wrote that down and called him. Again, I got voicemail, but this guys leaves his manager's number too, so maybe I will try that as my regular rep clearly has no knowledge and positiely no authority. I really hate this company. Countrywide was much better. You can call B of A from any number and as soon as you put in your account number or give that number to a rep (if you were trying to get around their stupid system) you get transferred to the same dumb rep 100% of the time. It never used to be this way. B of A has got to be the worst. I am about 30 days late on a payment and all the statements go to my ex-husband so I don't know what is going on, needless to say this was a crappy way to start the weekend. Had me worried about what this door hanger meant all night, could not even sleep.

NEVER NEVER NEVER put your account number, social security number or any other secured number into a phone unless you KNOW who called you. If you have a BofA account, get it changed IMMEDIATELY. You've probably had your ID stolen.
Do not listen to anybody who tells you that this is a legitimate BOM number. This is a SCAM!
Your bank will contact you directly by mail regarding any account issues. These people are phishing for information. Do not call the number, or they will enter your number in their system for future calls. Do not give the last 4 of your social! I doubt that christiduran or any of these other employee posers work for BOM. If they do, I assure you that they are idiots who do not know what they are talking about anyway!!!!!

THIS IS A BANK OF AMERICA # WHEN I WAS LATE ON PAYMENTS BEFORE GOING THROUGH MODIFICATION THIS IS THE # THEY ALWAYS CALLED FROM
AND IT DOES GET YOU TO YOUR REP
Someone left a door hanger at my house. I called and it is indeed Bank of America. It was a number to my loan modification advisor who either has left the company or never returns calls. My home is in foreclosure now for 4 years. I am waiting for approval for home loan modification but they always claim they never got the paper work even though I faxed it many time and I mailed it to them using the prepaid mailer.

BOA extremely unprofessional with home loan modifications. If they truly wanted to help and lower your interest rate they'd make it more simple. BOA received billions from Obama now it is their duty and responsibility to help their customers.

They didn't call, but they came to my house and left the number on my door. Then they proceeded to take pictures of my door knob, house address, house, and both sides of my fence. This is extremely sketchy and the number claims to be from BOA. My father called the number and they demanded a SS# and his account number without proper identity verification. My dad says this number used to belong to a company that boa bought out, and it shouldn't be active.
