Callers ask to 'verify' information about a 'loan' they refuse to identify until you 'verify' the information they are trying to extract. They claim to be trying to collect a debt for Bank of America, but Bank of America says there is no such debt. The people at 1-800-669-0102 say that they are going to continue to harass us until we give them our confidential information. This is harassment. This is attempted wire fraud.

Harassing call

It's a Bank of America Mortgage Modification Loan. I don't have a mortgage loan from BOA which is why it doesn't make sense why they're calling me about it. For new account, be aware when signing online in your account, make sure don't check any of the marketing ads or sharing information to their outbound marketing if you don't want to receive some calls like this.

Anyway, to cut the story short, try calling this number 1-888-341-5000 and don't press or choose any option. Just wait until someone will answer the phone. Then, ask the representative to add you into the "Don't Call List for their Direct Marketing". Hope this works.

I hope the BOA should stop using this kind of unprofessional attitude. That's why BOA is not a good place to bank because you're not sure if your information is secured. I'd rather go to Credit Union or a local bank.

what if a random person answered your phone when the call was made and they were trying to obtain information about you such as your home adress etc... anyone can say they are you and im sure BOA would see you in court b/c you would call a lawyer and try and make a simple buck b/c your private information was shared. and if it is that big of an issue inform the associate that you would like to call the number on your monthly statement then you will just be re-routed to the collections debt... simple fix no reason to argue and get no where.

Numerous calls this month from loan servicing for Bank of America. I donot currently have a mortgage banking relationship with BOA! I had such a relationship years ago but paid off that account before obtaining my current mortgage with another bank. BOA apparently doesn't know its head from a hole in the ground. They picked up alot of bad debt when they bought financial subsidiaries from other companies such as Capital One, etc. I'm not paying off the same debt twice and refuse to stand still for this new form of harrashment! Just waiting for enough people to get fed up and file class action lawsuits against BOA.

that number belongs to a COLLECTIONS AGENCY located in SOUTH CAROLINA they are listed as a TELEMARKETER and go under the cover of BOA. We dont have a mortgage with BOA and they dont have any papers with our signatures on it. This company is SCAMMING people. Another point and it is a very good one to look into. Who gave them all the private and secure information that Bank of America has; this includes your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER as well as your Banking info. Bank of America has committed a Federal Crime by releasing your private information. The point is this type of action has to be sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Keep in mind most of the people on Loan Conselings tel lines are located in a foreigh country. Thats why the FBI has to be advised. BOA needs to be investigated for fraudelent activities; due to releasing private information.

This number has been calling me everyday lately, I haven't been answering. However, I think I've spoken to them before (thank you for all you reminders), and informed them they have a wrong number. That was probably about one year ago, now they are calling again. If I am not mistaken, it was from BOA mortgage for late payments but we don't even have any mortgage loans with them. The man who was on the phone was kind of rude too. So I told them off and asked them not to ever call again, now they are calling again and not leaving any messages.

telling someone off doesnt get the job done if you would stop hanging up on the associated and allow them the opportunity to remove the number completely then you would not be receiving calls. if you hang up b4 they can finish the number connot be removed most likely you number was put on account as a contact number that a customer provided its an honest mistake or the customer did not want us contacting them.

It is the BofA. I have had the BofA call this numver and confirm that it is one of its departments. I have several accounts with it. They call and ask for someone I don't know. I have spoken with several people in the bank and know one can stop the bank form callling. Apparently, they have an auto dialer and the person that calls doesn't even know the numver it dialed. When I tell them not to call my number, they claim they didn't call it. Per calls tot he bank, they work of a list of numbers and my number is not on the list. That number isn't even assoiciated with my accounts.

I am 3 days late and I have received 6 calls from these idiots. The 1st woman said that it would go on a computer that I was going in to pay bill and I get 5 more calls from them. I will not ever do anymore business with boa after my mortgage is paid. I told the last caller that it was a form of harrassement after she was the 5th person and she said as long as I had a debt they could call me.

Hangh ups nearly every day from this number. Tried to call it back off caller ID, and I couldn't get a person. Some debt collection agency name was said after a few attempts to get to an operator, but no luck. When you first call the number it is answered "Bank of America". This is a business, and I don't appreciate taking time out of my day to answer prank calls.

I called my bank directly. They said they never heard of "Loan Counseling" and would never use such a service, they (my bank) would call me directly if there was a problem. My bank also confirmed there was no problem with my account in the first place.

I have phone service through Time Warner Internet, and I was able to block the offending number through my phone account at Time Warner; I can block up to 30 numbers. Very handy!

IF I ever get another scam call from Loan Counseling, I will tell them I am reporting them to the FBI... :)

Good luck, people!

Calls everyday sometimes up to three a day from this number registered as Loan Counseling on caller ID. After several times of asking to be put on their "do not call" list they refuse to and continue calling. They refuse to coorporate and are to the point of harrasment. Something needs to be done and we can't seem to get them from harrassing us.

They keep calling me and leave no message. When I try to call back, they want my loan number. I don't own a house and they keep calling and I can't get them to stop.

If you answer, someone will get on the line and ask for someone. If you don't know that person. Nicely advise that it is a wrong number.

Just started receiving calls from them; logged onto www.bankofamerica.com/privacy and changed all of my settings. This should help, even if you don't have an account w/BofA
