Message left two days ago: This is officer Charlie Williams from Windows Security headquarters. We are receiving some error and warning reports from your computer continuously from last two weeks. So before we block your computer's IP address permanently we need to talk to you to know if this was done intentionally by you or not. So call department back at 800-397-7598. I repeat that 800-397-7598. This is your final notice...

I too received a call from Officer Charlie Williams. They say the exact same thing, immediately I knew it was a scam. I get similar calls by men wanting to talk to me about "my computer". I say I don't have one and they immediately hang up. First of all they all have American Names but they are FROM India. How does that work? It seems that the story is the same to every caller but sometimes they give a different number. What do they think that we are all stupid. However, I believe Windows does have a Headquarter in India. But this, this is all a scam. . So yeah, don't call them back.

On 8/3/17, received a recorded call from Officer Charlie Williams calling to state that Windows is receiving "error messages" from my computer for 2 weeks now and they want to know if this is intentional. I should call with my case # of which I didn't write down at this # 877-203-5931. They will lock my ISP if I don't respond. Of course I never would call back.

Officer Charlie Williams from Microsoft cyber security left a recorded message to call back. This was on my home phone. I am smarter than that if they think I would call back.

Did you get any response from the FBI? In the past I have reported similar incidents, but was told they are too busy to deal with these kind of scams.
