they sent me an email saying a large charge had been made to Apple. it was wierd. then they called me by my name but this scam is good, they have mimicked the apple recording. No charge was on my card. They were identity fishing. Wanted information. i hung up then they called back and the guy was abrasive and tried to get me to cancel my card only i don't have a card with those numbers. no charges were ever made. The wanted to get me off their scam. Didn't work. BE CAREFUL

Called the Apple support from app for the 2nd day and same confusing fishy incident occurred. I believe originally I connected with Apple support legitimate put on hold for about five minutes both days when the same man answered the phone thick heavy accent and unknowledgeable couldn’t even tell me what department he worked for when I asked for his ID number he hung up but first wanted me to connect to Wi-Fi to send him documents?? Could Apple customers calling for help actually being intercepted by the scammers .. the same w/AT&T Who do we trust and where do we get help ??

The recording said they are calling from Apple and my icloud has been breached blah blah - press 1 to connect to a support person. I pressed 1 and got connected to a guy, most likely sitting in a boiler room. I asked him are you calling from a scammer's business, he hung up. I dont have an APPLE.....

Missed call, said Apple Inc. called back, computer typed my question, why did you call me? Transferred to agent, asked for my Apple ID. I asked him for Apple HQ Street address (which I knew). He did not, hung up.

Phishing scam spoofing Apple's customer service number, saying someone has tried to log into my Apple account. I do not and have never owned an Apple product.

Valid Apple Number but they didn't make the call. Said that my iCloud account had been breached. This number is used by Apple for education accounts not support.

This is probably a scam using a fake number on your Caller ID. I got three calls in one afternoon claiming to be from Apple using the above 718-xxx-xxxx phone number. I picked up the third time. The operator spoke very poor English about someone breaking into my Apple account. She asked me to connect to another company's website. (That company was probably being targeted by the same people.)
