Clearly using a 3rd party call spoof to pretend to be Apple and saying my account has been compromised
Clearly using a 3rd party call spoofing to pretend to be Apple to say my account is compromised.
Just called me. Said my Apple account had been "breached" and press 1 to connect to Apple support.
Received a call from this number twice. They informed me they were Apple Support and my Apple Account was hacked. He wanted to help me fix my Apple devices. I told him I was at work and he informed me he would call me back later. The number is legitimately Apple Customer Service, but these scammers are somehow using it to scam people. I asked if this was a legitimate call and he said in a thick Indian accent, yes. After I ended the call, I felt this was a scam and called the number back. It was indeed Apple. I spoke with one of their customer service representatives and she informed me they never make calls such as this. One other red flag is when ever I contact Apple or use a device that requires any confrontation from my account, I receive a push notification from my phone with a code. glad I called Apple back.
Did any authorities can check this scammer referring himself as an apple support tech or having an email as rsray2002@yahoo.com or a name as Tom Williams? he is scamming people asking for gift cards from target around $2000 or even card number in order to fix issues on your computer. and also
