Same complaint as G. Brown. Call came from (917) 793-5694. I think it was about a pre-approved mortgage. Got the prerecorded message on my cell - didn't call them back. Checked here first - a great site!

Received voice mail message from this number on July 14, 2010. Caller I.D. indicates call is from "The Debt School." The caller's name was Cathy. She stated that she was "responding to your (my) on-line inquiry" and that I had "been approved for a consolidated credit card loan as low as 1.5% interest" and that "This is not a new loan. You've already been approved by a certified non-profit agency." The caller's message also instructed me to have my statements ready when I call the 800-706-6208 call-back number. I have not applied for any loan(s) on-line nor applied for any loan in the past year and I do not have any problems with my credit cards.
