misdialed social security office by 1 number off and got to survey to win dining dollars. then wants to verify phone number or go online to website which then asks for name email and such.

it was an automated call that said I needed to speak to a representative so that I could possibly avoid going to jail.

called said that he was calling from SSA and so I asked him to verify my SS# and the reason for his call to me. He said his name was Michael Watson and that my name was flagged by the SS # number. I asked him for the telephone # to which he answered that I could not call back. Then he just hung up.

Recording - The call went something like this.... My SS number was flagged as being used suspiciously. My SS number would be blocked or locked if I did not respond and all benefits under my SS would no longer be available to me.
