Repeated robo calls. Pressed 1 to speak to someone, because previous requests to remove from the call list had no effect.
Person I spoke with claimed to be with "California Energy Department", wanted to know if I was interested in solar or windows, cutting energy bills, etc. I gave them a minor song-and-dance, ultimately scheduling an appointment. Person said I'd be meeting with somebody from "California Solar Energy". Fat chance... I gave them a false address. If they're lucky, nobody will answer the door, and they'll have wasted a bit of time. If they're unlucky, maybe they'll have a conversation with security... Either way, somebody's going to pay real world dollars for having robo called me so many times.

UPDATE: Turns out Solaire Energy Systems (http://www.gosolaire.com/about-us, 4562 Alvarado Canyon Road Suite R, San Diego, CA 92120, 619-567-7366) was the company unlucky enough to get the appointment referral. Sucks for them, since they actually sent a person to the address I provided. But hey - they were the company stupid enough to accept referrals from people with no regard for the law.

Yes, they called me these people are idiots! I wish I could call the police on them! They are so stupid, and I have MUCH more words to call them! I am going to be calling the police next time they call me, these scammers called me 5 TIMES

My land line is blocked to almost all incoming callers, they hear: THE NUMBER YOU CALLED DOES NOT ACCEPT INCOMING CALLS, but their number appears on my TV screen if I happen to have it on.. This feature is provided by Verizon/Frontier called DO NOT DISTURB.

They hang up as soon as I answer in my regular voice. If the party being called sounds feeble or otherwise gullible they will talk to you and try to rip you off. They prey on the elderly, disabled, people with foreign accents who do not speak English very well. When calling them back, the line drops.

#1. If you get repeated calls, allow a company to arrive for an appointment, get their business card first (I have a desk drawer in which I collect them) and then get a picture of their car plate. Now you know who the end-user is, and can hold them accountable, if needed.
#2. Inform the salesman/contractor, that the boiler room who calls a lot won't take you off their list, they just go to the next call and this happens multiple times a week or even per day.
"Sorry to inconvenience you (the installer etc.), but your company shouldn't employ unethical companies to supply leads..."

This has worked every time a new one pops-up, using another sweat shop to bother us at home.

It's a scam. Claim to be Calif Energy Dept. There is no such entity. They just want to push solar on you.
