These people can't take no for an answer. It is as if they are on a different planet than the rest of us, and do not realize that we are going through a depression era of our time. People losing their jobs, their apartments, their homes, their belongings, their pets, some even their families, and these collection agencies have the 'GALL' to call you continually and demand money from you that you don't. Money that you can barely scrape together to pay your rent, mortgage or your utilities or put food on your table. These collection agencies need to join us in the real world. Some people say Well they are only doing thier jobs. What nasty job would you do for money ??? Well drug dealers are only doing their jobs when they sell drugs to make money ! It is a robbers job to rob you ! It is a car Jackers job to take your car ! And what about a lady of the evening, just making a living right ? Why do we complain about them ? Oh, because they are doing something illegal ! Wake up, the collection agencies are not honest either. They buy your account from your creditor, so your creditor got paid. They take out insurance on you, so THEY got paid too. However, if they can scare you into paying them, THAT my friends is ICING ON THE CAKE ! this company uses a pre-recorded electronic voice and calls me every 6 hours. the message says, "by not saying anything, you are acknowledging that you are...(insert robotic recorded name- the one I get is 'Abraham') and then another recording with the "this is an attempt to collect a debt, any and all, etc." " really stupid and probably illegal. i have them all recorded. could use a couple of K-

They use several different numbers to call from, and call throughout the day. The numbers I have for them are as follows.800-767-7012, 800798-8731, 800-370-4375, 800-519-2643, 716-871-9050, 866-483-3640, 800457-8220, 864-331-5700.
There are probably many more. These people use high pressure tactics to attempt collection of past due credit lines and the like. There is no reasoning with them, they only want to hear that you are going to pay the money they are trying to collect, and not next week but right now.
If you have the finances to pay them than great, but if you don't you are a peice of scum to these people. They will treat you as such.
Treat them that way before they treat you that way. Answer every time they call and say random things to them out of sequence. Examples. Ring...Hello....Yes, is John Doe available, who is this, my name is Anna Rice, can I speak with John Doe please.....I have a brown cat named kuddles....excuse me sir/mam. I like green pudding, don't you?...By that time they will probably hang up on you, if not continue with the act. They will get the picture.
Why should you pay them any respect if they are not going to give you any. DO NOT give them any information, they will attempt to use anything they can against you sometime in the conversation and they will record and type down everything you say, so why not have a little fun while your at it.
