I received a call from 800-772-1213 saying they are with the social security office and was checking on signing up for Part D. I called my local social security office and they said that Social Security will never call you in regard to signing for Part D. Don't call them back or answer this call it is a scam.

Just received a call from them. I think if you answer it would be fun to give them bogus info. Maybe after a few thousand bogus names and SSN's they'll give up!!!

First call was caller ID Social Security Administration, and no message left on VM. Second call was less than 3 mins later, not caller ID'd, but same number 1 800 772-1213. Message left was to press 1 re: "assets and security". I did not call back.

I got a call today.. Well the problem here is that all government offices are closed for a day of mourning. There would be no one actually working to call!! SCAM

Yes, this idiot called me also. Wanted my SSN AFTER I gave him a fictional name. He didn't even know who he was speaking too. Oh, and it was being recorded for the US Marshals, the SSA and the DEA. Geez am I in trouble or what? DON'T EVER GIVE OUT YOUR SSN OVER THE PHONE!!!

I also received the same call saying the same info. I knew it had to be a scam but wanted to be sure so I called the SS office and they confirmed it to be a scam.
Don't give a caller your personal information. Be smart and keep your info safe.

Robo Call from 800-772-1213 saying Social Security Administration has an order to suspend my "social and assets" and I should press 1 to get this resolved immediately.

I also just received a call from (800) 772-1213 stating the my SS# was being used for illegal activity. I immediately hung up knowing that the SS Office would never call you. I then redialed the number and the automated system does state its the SS Office which I think it litigate.

I received a call from 800-772-1213 leaving me a message that my social security number has been associated with illegal activity and I should call SSA at once to prevent a halt to my SSA benefits. They left a call back number of 937-848-0982, but that number also tried to call me when I was holding for 800-77201213.
I know this is a scam call because in the social security office they have a big sign that reads "The SSA will never call you. All correspondence is done through the U.S. mail".
DON'T RETURN THESE CALLS. THEY ARE A FRAUD.

RECEIVED 2 CALLS 1st from 1-800-772-1213 left voice message about my social security number and the 2nd from 937-848-0982 with same automated robo call message. Can't these people actually get a real job and pay their own taxes instead of using our info.

Automated phone call stating that they were from Social Security Administration reporting fraudulent use of my SSN. Press one to speak to an operator. I've worked for the govt. for over 25 years---SSA will not call you. Spam call--phishing for information.
