I get multiple calls a day from this number. I never answer and they never leave a message. Nothing less than harrassment.

They've been calling several times a day for months now, but never leave a message. We have never had any outstanding debts and nothing shows up on our credit report. I wish they would stop and I refuse to answer.

They already took my 66 year old disabled mother's tax return . Then to beat it all still after her for $150.00 on a debt over 10 years old .

no need to call

Trying to collect an old PAID bill. Scammer

This is PRA, but they've changed their tactics. Instead of saying PRA in the caller ID, it says Toll Free and lists the phone number.

LOL... This one belongs to none other than Portfolio Recovery Assets. They're among the worst of the worst and they deserve a big ole swirlie in the toilet bowl for their evil ways. Portfolio Recovery Assets is an extremely aggressive and thorough debt collection agency that calls at least twice or more every day. They will seek judgements and try to collect on old zombie debts that are way past the statute of limitations and for bloodsucking usurious companies like Bank Of America, Beneficial, Capital One, CenturyLink, MBNA and others that should have died off completely way back when the dot com, housing and credit bubbles popped.

Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC
Don't allow automatic payments to them. They will take out more than agreed upon and state that was the agreement! Get everything in writing or they will go back on what they verbally promise. Bunch of crooks trying to make cash off of people who don't have the cash to fight them back!!

I never heard of this company... they would not say why they were calling with myself giving personal information.

The woman that I spoke to said that I owed money on a Capitol One account that was charged off 13 years ago. She asked me what my intentions were, and told them that I still owed this debt even though it had been charged off. I asked her not to call me anymore and she told me that she would continue to call until I paid this debt. She also told me that I had 5 days to pay the full balance to "resolve" this matter.

do not allow collections over 7 years old. If they have been sold bad debt buyers should leave the country and do online gambling instead. Neither party is helping the work situaton since loyalty to the game rules and not aon the job.

They called. These people mailed me a collection letter from p.o. box 1099 Wixom, MI. This was a collection for Washington Mutual Bank from a credit card I had with them. Its was definitely before 2008 that I took out that credit card. And WAMU is out of business since 2008 and was seized by the FDIC. The FDIC sold the banking subsidiaries (minus unsecured debt and equity claims) to JPMorgan Chase. No one bought the credit card debt. But evidently? Portfolio Recovery Associates, L.L.C. thinks they own it. They don't. They are trying to recover a account that is beyond statutory limits. (usually 3-7 years) DO NOT PAY THESE GUYS IT WILL START THE DEBT CLOCK FROM THE BEGINNING WITH THEM AS ORIGINAL CREDITOR (for a new 3-7years). DO NOT WRITE THEM BACK. DO NOT CALL THEM. HAVE NO CONTACT WITH THEM. If they try and sue you they will fail. They buy this debt for 4-8 cents on the dollar. The original creditors have already written off this debt. Don't fall for their scam.

Hi. They may be pulling the common trick that scammers are using, which is dialing the number as though it's a foreign number, which then bypasses our blacklisted numbers because of the extra digits in front of their phone number. These extr digits don't appear on the caller ID. Dirty tricks by dirty scum
suckers.
