Not a scam, this is actually Sprint. This is the sales department who are trying to entice their existing customers to upgrade phones & plans that may or may not be needed.

I checked with Sprint and this number is from their Telesales department, so it is valid. It does come across as a scam, I agree, but I did get confirmation from Sprint directly. I filed a complaint, as I did not appreciate the nature of the call.

When on chat with Sprint the customer service agent Alexa h gave me this number to call 1-800-211-4727 that turned out to be a scam offering a free $100 gift card and he asked me to confirm my mailing address, phone number and credit card on file. The man in the Philippines pretends to be working for Sprint, and he told it would be just a few more minutes and he would transfer me to a Sprint customer service agent. Well that never happened and I was disconnected, When I tried calling the number again they had blocked my number. In the end I realized Sprint's number was 1-888-211-4727.

I just received a call from someone women who sounded like she was from India saying she was calling on behalf of Sprint and I am due to renew my phone (which is true) and rambled off a bunch of discount. I said to email it to me. Haven't gotten a email from Sprint!

They as sprint service gave me a call to help me lower my phone bills, and asked me for the pin code and security answers. I didn't give anything as it seems a spam.

Just got a call from this number; I never answer numbers I do not know. I just typed it in and "thank goodness for all your comments!" I've now blocked the number - but I am a Sprint customer for a few years now. Sure happy I didn't answer! Thanks everyone!

This is not sprint calling.

I answered it because the number came up as "Sprint Mobile Customer Service" Never saw that particular title, so I was curious. They were offering me to upgrade my phone for cheap- no downpayment for the phone, and a cheaper total price than upgrading at a store.

I got suspicious because I share the account with family; they are the account owner, and I pay them my share. When the "customer service" couldn't seem to find ANY data for the other person on the plan, that was a clear sign this was a total scam. Then they asked me to get the other family member on the phone in a conference call. Uh, no thanks. Not falling for social engineering. They also asked for my pin number at one point. BLOCKED!

Apparently they definitely are spam. I have sprint and they will only contact me through my email or text messages. Plus if it wasn't spam they'd leave a message instead of hanging up!

This call is NOT from Sprint. This call is an attempt to get your account PIN or security WORD. The caller already has your account #, account name and address, and cell #. If they get either of your security codes above they WILL enter your Sprint Zone page on another cellphone, lock you out of your account, and order as many phones as they can shipped all over the country. SPRINT is aware of this issue.

Called and knew my name and said something about adding a line to Sprint. I told them I did not have a Sprint account. The lady said maybe it was someone who was using my name and asked for the last four of my Social. I said for her to give me the last four and she did. It was time to hang up. It was Spam and I think it was someone trying to verify information they got from elsewhere. Best advise hang up as soon as the spiel starts.
